Marissa Mayer, when asked what’s changed at Google since she started — in an interview while she was still at Google.
(Mayer is Google Employee Number 20 - that Employee Number is what defines who’s the royalty at Google.)
The SYSK guys have been talking up this animation quite a bit lately, so i checked it out, and it really is quite good - the animations are a simple style, but the point they’ve mentioned a few times is how well the animator has caught their nuances - leaning forward for a certain point, or spreading their hands for another - and that’s quite true, it adds quite a bit to it.
A very cool little 2 min watch!
How Fear Works: Stuff You Should Know Animated (by joshandchuck)

“With the passing of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, the world has lost one of the great champions of freedom and liberty, and America has lost a true friend. As a grocer’s daughter who rose to become Britain’s first female prime minister, she stands as an example to our daughters that there is no glass ceiling that can’t be shattered. As prime minister, she helped restore the confidence and pride that has always been the hallmark of Britain at its best. And as an unapologetic supporter of our transatlantic alliance, she knew that with strength and resolve we could win the Cold War and extend freedom’s promise.
Here in America, many of us will never forget her standing shoulder to shoulder with President Reagan, reminding the world that we are not simply carried along by the currents of history—we can shape them with moral conviction, unyielding courage and iron will. Michelle and I send our thoughts to the Thatcher family and all the British people as we carry on the work to which she dedicated her life—free peoples standing together, determined to write our own destiny.”
What was your opinion on the Iron Lady’s work?

Meet Mohsin Shezad. I left my iPhone in the backseat of Mohsin’s cab on Thursday. When he discovered it, he drove back to where he’d dropped me off, and spent several minutes looking for me. When I finally called an hour later, he was all the way across town, but drove 30 minutes to meet me. Then he tried his damnedest to refuse a reward, saying: “Please sir, your fare was enough. Please sir, no.”
This man has a wonderful and humble soul.
LOL!!!
