The Web Browser landscape has changed dramatically since I started working as a web designer 10 years ago. Less browsers to worry about, but IE gave enough headaches to go around!!

Sho, i’m always amazed when we in South Africa outdo America in anything. It’s quite rare - Rugby, and employee rights are just about the only 2, I think! But still nice to see.
Sorry, knocked up, America, you get a raw deal!

lonewolfgirl:

Whee! Canada at 50 weeks! On the other hand, what’s also missing from the chart is Hong Kong: 10 weeks paid maternity leave (if you fulfill the criteria). Good stuff.

Happy Africa Day 2012!

I’ve posted it before, but today being Africa Day, let us remember the size of the continent we call home.
It’s huge!

Nicely designed infographic! Interesting to see how few people in the USA are concerned for personal safety, probably the highest concern here in South Africa.

Infographic about Seinfeld. We’ve been watching Seinfeld, we started with Season 1, the pilot, where Kramer is Kessler (and not an amazing character I might add - he really came into his own in season 2), so this was such an interesting read.
Imagine, Seinfeld turned down $5mill per episode to make a season 10. Amazing!
You really need to click for the larger view to get any sort of enjoyment out of it

The Worlds Resources by Country

It’s a poor show that China is producing more gold than us. We could do better!

If you find the American elections at all interesting, this is an intriguing site… it gathers all the data about the nominees from Twitter, who’s talking about them, who’s following them, etc, and creates this dynamic infographic that’s very interesting to watch.
Go to 2012Twit.com to see it go.

Afrographique

This is a great blog to follow… Afrographique. Infographics about Africa, and plenty about South Africa especially!

Gratifying to see that we are still pumping out a fraction of any of the developed nations, however, I think that we are better poised to build industry from the ground up to be more efficient, so we should hold ourselves to a higher standard.
So in that case, this is pretty bad, I would reckon!
